• Sutron’s SDI-Link provides a way for an SDI-12 data recorder to read one or more SDI-12 sensors located up to 1 mile away using un-licensed band radios.
• The SDI-Link is fully SDI-12 V1.3 compliant and will work with any compliant sensor and data recorder.
• Able to communicate using SDI-12 or RS-232 mode
• The extended range of up to 1 mile LOS (line of sight) allows the user to get data from sensors that previously would have required a separate data recorder or long, expensive cables.
• The SDI-Link comes in a NEMA-4 rated enclosure with built-in antenna that easily mounts outdoors on a wall or pipe.
• The SDI-Link comes in two basic models – a master (WSDI-M) that connects to the data recorder and a slave (WSDI-S) that connects to sensors.
• The slave model of the SDI-Link includes a battery charger so all you need to add for a standalone, remote sensor is a battery and solar panel.
• One mile typical distance for unobstructed LOS connections (5dBi antenna).
• Multiple slave modules can be used with one master module.
• Multiple SDI-12 sensors can be connected to each slave module.
• Modules will have their own SDI-12 address to allow querying of status parameters
• LED to indicate network activity.
• Utilizes un-licensed frequency bands at 2.4GHz.
• Packaged in a 6.5” x 6.5” x 4.5” NEMA-4 enclosures with cable glands and connections for SDI-12, Antenna, and Power/ Solar Panel.
• 5 dBi whip antenna mounted on side of NEMA-4 enclosure.
• Internal regulator on slave module to handle up to 20 watt panels for 12V gel cell battery (lead acid)
• Average quiescent power consumption of master: 7 mA @ 12V
• Average quiescent power consumption of slave without sensors: 6 mA @ 12V. Use a 24 amp-hr battery for a typical radar/shaft encoder/bubbler station
• Optional I/O board for slave supports qty2 0-5 inputs, qty 3 differential inputs, and qty 1 counter for direct sensor measurements
