To upgrade the Radar, connect your PC to the sensor using an RS-232 DB9 cable, and use a terminal program.
Microsoft Windows usually comes with a terminal program called HyperTerminal. It can be found by going to the Windows start menu, Programs, Accessories, Communications.
Once started, choose the COM port that you have connected the cable to. Then select these options: 115200 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, hardware flow control.
Once connected, press ENTER. The sensor will respond with a prompt >. You may type VER to see the current software in the sensor.
Type UPG and ENTER to start the download. The sensor will respond by outputting 'C'. If using HyperTerminal, use the Transfer, Send File menu. Choose the .upg downloaded from this page file and choose Y-Modem.
Once the .upg transfer is complete, hit ENTER again. Type VER to see the new version of the software.
Download RLR software version 1.14 built in December 2007.
