The Tempest™ GOES Web Service is designed for GOES DCS users who do not want to manage their own ground system. This is ideal if ...
- You have a small number of Data Collection Platforms
- You have limited computing resources
- You don’t want the hassle of purchasing, installing, and maintaining a ground system
- You want a low-cost alternative for data collection
Through the GOES Web Service, Sutron will collect your DCP data and deliver it to you via web. We can deliver raw data (as it is transmitted by the platform), or we can decode it for you into engineering units. Our decoder can present the data in a wide variety of commonly used formats such as SHEF, Kisters ZRXP, Comma-Separated Value (CSV), Excel, USGS STDMSG, HTML, XML, Pi Historian, and several others.
The Tempest™ LRGS Family of Receive Systems
Our ultra-stable Tempest™ LRGS product now supports data reception via DOMSAT, GOES-DRGS, LRIT, NOAAPORT, and Internet. It is a universal receiver that can provide unlimited local storage for your raw DCP data. It provides the de-facto standard DDS (DCP Data Service) network protocol for distributing data to your processing applications.
We can provide complete turnkey receivers including dish, receiver, computer and electronics. Or we can provide the LRGS software-only for you to install on your own equipment.
LRGS PC-System Upgrades are available for agencies that already have a DOMSAT receiver (either SCO DRS or Datawise). The upgrade includes the PC, smart serial card, software, and a signal splitter so that you can run the new and old systems side by side for a phase over period.
The DCS Toolkit is a suite of software that allows you to retrieve DCP data over the internet from any of the following:
- LRGS-DOMSAT or LRGS-Internet Server
- LRIT Satellite Receiver Systems
- SCO DRS (DOMSAT Receive Station) Systems
- Public DCP Data Servers at Wallops, VA
- Future DAPS-II IXS Servers at Wallops, VA
The toolkit is 100% Java and will run on any modern OS. It provides a low-cost reliable means of acquiring DCS data in near real-time.
The DECODES Module is included with the DCS Toolkit. It is a universal converter for DCP data. In can extract time-tagged engineering-unit samples from any DCP. It handles fixed format or delimited data equally well. It can present data in SHEF, SHEFIT, Human-Readable, EMIT-ASCII and other formats. It is written in 100% pure Java so it will run on any modern computing platform.
HydroMet Analysis System
The HydroMet Analysis System stores your decoded data in a SQL Time Series Database. The schema is simple and efficient, capable of storing several years worth of your decoded data on-line. A powerful computation module handles derived parameters such as USGS ratings, table-lookup, interpolation, averaging, and user-defined equations. We provide tools for limit and rate-of-change alarms, import/export, spreadsheet-access, plotting, and custom applications.
