Ashish Ashish Raval General Manager & Business Unit Leader

Mr. Ashish Raval is Sutron’s General Manager and Business Unit Leader. Ashish joined Sutron as an Applications Engineer in 1997. From 2001 to 2012, Ashish managed Sutron’s Integrated Systems Division (ISD). He was instrumental in growing the Integrated ISD revenues from $1 million to $12 million and Sutron revenue from $9 million to $27 million. Most recently, Ashish was providing leadership for the commercial and systems integration business as Sr. Vice President.

Dan Daniel W. Farrell Senior Vice President, R&D

Daniel W. Farrell, Senior Vice President of the Sutron Corporation since March 1984, also served on Sutron’s Board of Directors from May 1988 to May 2012. Mr. Farrell has managed the Company’s Research and Development Division since August 1989. Prior to his promotion to Sr. VP of the Research and Development Division, Mr. Farrell was a Project Manager in Sutron’s Water Resources Division. Mr. Farrell received a B.S. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University in 1976. Shortly thereafter also in 1976, Mr. Farrell joined Sutron as a staff scientist. Mr. Farrell has extensive experience in all aspects of our business and industry and strong technical skills. His current work includes:

  • Develop and deliver new and enhanced products and applications
  • Identify and evaluate new technology and develop an implementation plan
  • Manage the IT and R&D departments
  • Identify, evaluate and pursue new areas of business for the company
  • Assist in preparing the requirements, designs, proposals for products, projects and systems

Glen Glen E. Goold CFO 

Glen E. Goold has served as the CFO of Sutron since October 2013. Mr. Goold began working for Sutron in November of 2012 as the Assistant CFO and Director of Finance. Prior to his work at Sutron, Mr. Goold was an Associate Vice President for the Carlyle Group from 2005‐2012. While at Carlyle, he managed several international investment funds that held over $1.5 billion in assets around the world. His work at Carlyle included managing the accounting and reporting functions, investor relations and fundraising functions, and transaction coordination efforts of the funds he managed. Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Goold worked for Ernst & Young from 1997‐2005 as a Tax Manager and Consultant. At Ernst & Young, Mr. Goold spent a large portion of his time in the Company’s National Tax practice servicing the firm’s largest real estate, telecommunications, oil & gas, and other clients as well as helping train the Company’s colleagues in the intricacies of partnership taxation law. Mr. Goold received his Masters of Accountancy and his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

David David Vaello Vice President, Air Quality Division

David Vaello has served as a Vice‐President of Sutron Corporation since Sutron’s 2012 acquisition of MeteoStar, Inc.. In March of 2013 Mr. Vaello was an important member of the Sutron Team to acquire Sabio Instrumentation, a Texas manufacturer of Air Quality Instrument Calibrators, Zero Air Systems and measuring equipment used in Ambient and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). When Sutron’s MeteoStar Texas and Sabio Divisions merge into one Air Quality Division during 2014, Mr. Vaello will continue to serve as Vice‐President of that division. Mr. Vaello earned a B. A. in Political Science from the University of Texas El Paso in 1977.Mr. Vaello has over 30 years’ experience in real‐time data acquisition and programming while working at GTE, White Sands Missile Range, Radian Corp., TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), and Sutron.As project leader, Mr. Vaello was in charge of the design and implementation of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s continuous environmental quality monitoring system. In that role he managed the conversion of TCEQ’s existing system to Sutron’s MeteoStar LEADS® automated air and water quality monitoring system. Mr. Vaello has also managed the conversion of legacy systems for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VADEQ) the Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada Department of Air Quality, and the Tribal Environmental eXchange Network (TREX‐Net) to the Sutron MeteoStar LEADS® system.

Cecilia (2) Cecilia Oh Director of Operations & ISO Management

Cecilia Oh has served as Director of Operations and as ISO Management Representative since 2002. She joined Sutron in January 1987 as an electronics technician. Ms. Oh has held positions in Customer Service and Testing/Calibration and served as Production Manager for five years before assuming the duties of Director of Operations. She has an Associates degree in Electronics, from Condie College, Santa Clara, California, and has credits for a number of post‐graduate courses including Effective Project Management, Fundamentals of Purchasing, Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting for Nonfinancial Executives, ISO 9001:2008 Certified Lead Auditor Training, Managing Inventory, and Cycle Counts.

Deepak Deepak Gupta Managing Director, Sutron India Operations

Deepak Gupta joined Sutron Corporation in June 2013 as Managing Director for Sutron Corporation’s India Division. He is a professional Electronics and Communication Engineer, having completed all engineering requirements in 2005 in India. His achievements since 2005 have been impressive in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Services, System Integration, Installation, Project Management and Team Management. Mr. Gupta’s HydroMet expertise encompasses all aspects from planning to completed execution of System Integration, Product Management and Business Development.He has designed and implemented Integrated Systems for a variety of industries including Agriculture, Research, Automotive Industry, Marine Science, Universities and Highway Projects. Mr. Gupta’s HydroMet experience covers Environmental Science, Oceanographics, Hydrology, Telemetry, Water Quality and Quantity, Surveying, Climate Change, Land Surface Studies, Research, Glacier Monitoring and Micrometeorology.
